Everett + Shayna | Couples Portrait Session

I’m so excited to share this cute fall session on the blog! When I mentioned to Shayna that I was looking for a couple to model for me, she was all on board and I was thrilled! Shayna and her fiancé Everett are seriously the sweetest, so I knew we were going to have a great time.

Between the busyness of their jobs and the holidays, I was so thankful that they were willing to set aside some time for this modeling session. I sent over a couple location ideas to them, and they chose the Howe Farm Park in Port Orchard. There’s always at least one other photographer whenever I’m there, and I understand why. The 83-acre property has grassy fields and an old barn that make for a great portrait location.

This shoot was so fun, but also challenging at times. It started off as a foggy and overcast day, and while eventually the fog cleared up, it stayed cloudy and ridiculously cold! It’s not officially winter yet, but it definitely felt like it was. Weather aside, we had a great time and you’d probably never know from the images that they were freezing cold!

Shayna and Everett also brought along their adorable dog, Colt! He is the cutest and honestly the most well-behaved dog I’ve ever worked with (and he’s only 2 years old). Shayna’s mom, Shannon came to help watch Colt and that was incredibly helpful! I always recommend that my clients bring someone to help with their pet, so they can focus on their portraits and not have to worry about their pup.

When we wrapped up our session and got back to the parking lot, Shayna and Everett had a bottle of champagne as a surprise gift for me and later sent me a Starbucks gift card. Didn’t I tell you they’re the sweetest?! :) I seriously loved working with this couple!

Thank you again, Shayna and Everett for being such great models to work with! I had so much fun with you!

Hugs,
Monica
