Hannah + Alex | Engaged

To celebrate my two-year business anniversary, I hosted a session giveaway on Instagram and Hannah was the winner! She chose an engagement session for her and her fiancé Alex. It’s so fun to see people celebrate exciting seasons of life, and it’s always an honor to photograph them!

Hannah had mentioned that she and Alex had spent time purse seine fishing together and wanted to incorporate that into their session, so they arrived with fishing boots and life vests! I love when couples include something that’s special to them in their images. We started the session at the Ancich Waterfront Park in downtown Gig Harbor—the rustic netshed and an art installation that pays tribute to Gig Harbor’s fishing history made this park the perfect location! For a second look, we went to Chambers Bay in University Place.

We lucked out with a winter day that wasn’t forecasted to pour rain all day long, but it was absolutely freezing cold! Wind that chills you to your core kind of cold! I’m always impressed when my clients can brave through the weather and still look amazing despite the weather conditions. I on the other hand, very quickly turn into an icicle if I’m not bundled up in a ridiculous amount of layers. Maybe it’s their fishing experience that came in handy, but Hannah and Alex were troupers on this cold day and made it look like a freezing, windy day was nothing! Here are some of my favorites from their session.

Congratulations on your engagement, Hannah and Alex! Wishing you a wonderful life together!

Hugs,
Monica
