Roman’s Senior Portraits at Lake Sammamish State Park

A summer senior portrait session in Issaquah

I had so much fun taking Roman’s senior portraits! Roman’s mom, Noellia and I worked together several years ago and it was such a treat to get to see her again after all this time! Roman wanted a natural setting with waterfront views, so we went to Lake Sammamish State Park in Issaquah. I typically shoot around Gig Harbor and Tacoma, but I’ll travel anywhere, so this was an exciting opportunity to head up north and shoot somewhere new! It was a warm, summer evening and the park was filled with people having picnics, kids running around playing, and people hanging out at the beach and kayaking. If we’re taking pictures around lots of people, it’s always my goal to make the images look like we had the whole place to ourselves. I loved the variety we got at Roman’s session — we started with pictures in a grassy area of the park and then just a short walk from there was the beach. Enjoy some of my favorites!
